The Best Insoles for Boots
Boots are considered heavy footwear, whether you’re on a jobsite or dressing for the weather. But like most shoes, they don’t always provide enough arch support and can start to hurt after a long day on your feet. Adding boot insoles is a smart way to ensure comfort and prevent pain.
What happens when you wear unsupportive boots for too long?
When you wear boots without arch support for extended periods—especially for work—they tend to take a toll on your body. Why does this happen, even if they feel comfortable enough at the start of the day? The answer has to do with your foot’s natural arch.
Your foot’s arch is the curve along the sole, and it’s shaped by your bones, tendons, and ligaments. The arch acts as a natural support and shock absorber that distributes the forces and weight of walking, running, jumping, and other movements.
Your gait, or way of walking, affects the distribution of pressure and weight from the foot to the rest of the body:
- Low or flat arches: Your foot may tend to roll inward as you walk and flatten the arch. This is known as overpronation.
- High arches: The outer part of your heel may touch the ground first. This is known as underpronation or supination
In both cases, weight is not distributed evenly as you step, which concentrates the impact in a smaller area. Wearing boots without proper arch support can result in discomfort, irritation, and pain.
The longer you walk without arch support, the worse the pain tends to be and the higher the risk of injury. Plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis, heel spurs, stress fractures, and foot, knee, hip, and back pain are all common complaints among those who work on their feet.

Finally something that works!
I have shoeboxes full of the various insoles and custom orthotics I've tried over the years. The Classic Insole took a couple days to get formed to my foot but my foot pain is finally gone and my shoes are super comfy!

Better than custom orthotics
Yes, you need to break them in so that they can form to your foot/gait/body type, but with a small investment in time, you will get an absolutely awesome pair of replacement insoles. I won’t say these are the last insoles that I will ever buy, but I will say they are the last BRAND!

Game changing
As someone with flat feet, I've struggled with insoles because they are either cheap and poorly made or incredibly expensive. Fulton Insoles are affordable and work beautifully, perfectly molding to my foot while giving me the support I need.

Great all-purpose insoles, less foot pain
I had serious foot pain and bought Fulton insoles on a whim, thinking they might help. I brought them to my orthopedic doctor, and he told me that they were 1) the best he has seen on the market and 2) if I wore them in my running shoes every day, my foot pain would go away, as it was due to unsupported arches. My foot pain is gone, I'm back to running, and my feet feel amazing.

Medical-Quality Insoles
Fulton insoles are as good as medical-grade orthotics, without the hefty price tag and doctor visits. As someone who has tried multiple types of insoles including doctor-prescribed inserts, I can say without a doubt that these are my new favorite pair.
